Cryogenic Tanks
Cryogenic tanks are used for gases in liquid phase to be transported and stored. Tanks are produced to store the inner gas, at -196 ºC or at a less temperature, depending on different design parameters. As a design standard, it is used AD MERKBLATT CODE 2000 and ASME. It is also possible to design products in different standards according to the requests of clients. The cryogenic tank contains another tank inside. The inner tank consists as material 1,4307 stainless steel, while the outer one consists S355J2G3. The isolation between tanks is provided by perlite aggregation and vacuum technology. The manufacturing processes of the tanks are as follows: |

(Pre-design) As a next step, the report of the calculation is provided to control institutions, and after the acceptance the certificated materials are provided to start the manufacture. Both of the tanks are manufactured at the same time. (The inner and the outer) Tests are done during the manufacture by independent inspection institutions and the results are reported in the tank file. Welding is done by certificated workers. After completing the piping of the main body, the main body is tested hydrostatically. As both tanks are finished, the inner tank is welded inside the outer one and the leakage measurement test between contacts is done. When completing the tank manufacturing, on hand it is washed with liquid nitrogen -saved from oxygen- and on the other hand it is cooled to prevent thermal stresses. Each of the tanks has the etiquettes that showing the properties and quality. Installation of the tanks onsite is done by our experts as well as giving training and the booklet of the documentation for maintaining. The control of the independent inspection institutions consist the check of the design, certifications, NDT (Roentgens, penetrates etc.) accreditation of the welders, hydrostatic tests and leakage tests. The inspection report contains the results of hydrostatic tests, cleaning, design, calculations, leakage and paintings. The certificated products are stamped by the institutions.
